Party of 5

>> Saturday, October 24, 2009

I met with a beautiful family of 5 this morning at a local museum. It was a little chilly when we started off but it warmed up and turned into a gorgeous day!

This is such a great place, there is a terrific backdrop everywhere you turn.

Their oldest is a junior in high school and was completely comfortable with the camera! I wore nothing but clear mascara until I was out of college so I'm a tad jealous looking at her perfectly applied eyeliner...something I've yet to master. I'm amazed at how put together and confident 16 year olds are these days.

The younger girl was the perfect assistant and yelled BANANAS! while I took pictures of her sister. If she didn't live so far away, I might consider hiring her. She couldn't wait for her turn and was more than happy to smile for the camera.

The little guy was another story...he wanted to PLAY! Luckily, I'm always up for a game of peek a boo and as it turned out, he was too!

HeartBREAKER!

>> Thursday, October 22, 2009

I may be biased, but oh my gosh she's beautiful! My oldest little masterpiece and I took off tonight to take her 5 year pictures. 5 YEARS! I can't believe my sweet baby is five, and oh so grown up! She had school pictures last week so she said she knew exactly what to do...a great big grin and she'd yell, "mashed potatoes!". That'll work ;)

For her birthday, everything was all about Fancy Nancy. Since Nancy says all things French are fancy, what else but a beret to top off her ensemble?? Tres chic!

Considering that she's mine and constantly has a camera in her face...usually met with "No more picturin'!" she was incredibly cooperative. I can neither confirm nor deny that there might have been a cookie involved in making that happen.

Ainsley loves the fun floppy flower on her little sister's hat and I think it made for very cute pictures!

I'm a Big Girl Now!

>> Friday, October 9, 2009

I met H when she was only 5 months old. She's one of my kids' favorite playmates and as such I have pictures from all stages of her life, just as I do my own kids. It was really fun to get to take her 3 year pictures! She's growing into such a little lady and I enjoyed following her around the gardens capturing that still baby fine hair and her big blue eyes. Her little brother was my first official practice session (his first year pictures) so it was neat to follow up with big sister several months later.

She'd never been here before, so the fish and turtles in the pond really piqued her interest and everything she saw was new and neat for her.

She wasn't the least bit tentative about walking around in her bare feet and was incredibly compliant any time I asked her to hop up on a rock or sit near *gasp* dirt :)

I look forward to finishing this session and seeing how the rest of them turned out!

Baby Doll

>> Sunday, October 4, 2009

The Z man was a little on the shy side and didn't like to hang out naked. He was, however, a DOLL. I mean that, he actually looks like a little baby doll! Perfection.

Big sister was very busy drawing pictures and at one point came in to declare her love for me. Look at these amazing gray-blue eyes! Between those and her Rapunzel like locks what's not to love about her??

...And with a big yawn, baby boy is back to sleep...

2 minutes

After I put this adorable hat on E this morning, I couldn't resist taking a few pictures! I knew I had roughly two minutes before her big sisters would come looking for us so I had to be quick. I love those big blue eyes!!!
